Player Options:
I'm looking for this to be added to the League Rules when its clarified.
When a player accrues an option in TPB for being promoted/demoted, is it like MLB where if a player uses an option, he can be sent back and forth from the majors to minors that year, as often as the league allows without accruing any more options. Or in TPB is it everytime he's promoted/demoted that another option is added.
Demotion:
I know this was discussed heavily recently, and just looking for clarification.
If a player or pitcher had less than 125 AB's, or 50 IP the previous year in the majors, they may be demoted in TPB and kept in the minors until the end of the current year and then must be promoted if they surpass the specified threasholds?

If a player or pitcher had less than 125 AB's, or 50 IP the previous year in the majors, they may be demoted in TPB and kept in the minors until the end of the current year and then must be promoted if they surpass the specified threasholds? 1st question: in TPB is it everytime he's promoted/demoted that another option is added. So for example I promoted Bauer and he has been up and down like mad but I have kept him in my bigs roster because I don't want to burn a lot of options. Every time you send a guy down you use an option, 3 is the max. Obviously we can't police this but the honor system is in effect. If you shuttled guys back and forth already without knowing the rule we won't hold you to it and you can just call it <1> option. Your second question is yes, you can stash a guy that had less than 125 ABs or 50 IP in the previous year in your minors even if they are clearly going to (or already have) exceeded that this year. Kind of a loophole yes but it works fairly well and eventually that player must be brought up. And if it is a great player the team is only hurting themselves by keeping them down there. Also if the player exceeded that number but is in the minor leagues in real life they can be sent down. this does *NOT* include rehab assignments though. So hmmm say Xavier Nady (I'm not sure if he had 125 ABs last year but let's say he did). He is in the Royals milb system playing for Omaha right now so he could be in your minors even if he had 125 ABs last year. However I can't put Matt Garza in my milb because he made a rehab start for the Kane County Cougars. hope that makes sense.
