I think we should add Perfect Games, Triple Plays and Cycles.

This is what I think the categories should be:
Hitters: H, R, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, SLG
Pitchers: QS, W, SV, HLDS, ERA, OBA (more true stat than WHIP as it also covers HBP, WHIP doesn't), K/BB
*I took AVG out seeing as OBP covers AVG within it and we already have H as a category. So if a guy gets a ton of hits but has a poor AVG it'll be reflected in a lesser OBP.

*que cigar's rant about the dominance of the royals and how a change in scoring would cripple the foundation of his team.

I think K's should still be there and I'm in favor of taking away losses

I'm all for Reds categories but would like to keep pitching Ks as K/BB could be won with only 5 Ks.

I didn't omit K's on purpose, it was an oversight. So take out K/BB and put K's back in. It also accomplishes another problem I couldn't figure out and that was having equal rate and counting stats for pitchers & hitters.

In that case I think it's perfect

I have always hated the negative categories like losses for pitchers and Ks for hitters that reward the teams that don't put MLB players on the field.

I have Chris Carter, Yoenis Cespedes & Darin Ruf on my team. Would be more than happy to get rid of strikeouts for hitters. heh heh

I traded away my high k guys, had Granderson and Gordon combine for 350 Ks one year.

Any reason for having QS and W's?

Any reason for having QS and W's? I don't mind having both, though if it came down to one or the other then QS would absolutely be the right choice.

Any reason for having QS and W's? I understand the ask. It's a balancing act of keeping the categories equal in number as well as keeping rate and counting stats equivalents as well. If one was to be removed it would be Wins, but then what category do you remove for hitters? I'd say HR's. It just gets messy, unless you have a suggestion that makes sense. I hate Wins due to it not showing any relevance towards the quality of a pitcher, but as I said it gets messy if you try to take it out.

We are against removing categories we have had for four years (Batting Average and WHIP) to add personal favorites. Pretty lame...
