Can free agent pickups of undrafted 1st year players be placed on the (13 man?) rookie roster or do they need to go on the MiLB roster?

I was always under the impression that as long as we were at or under 13 players then we could add them there. I was allowed to do it last year with Scott Blewett, whom I got in a trade.

I'd be pretty sure that anyone you got from another team's rookie roster could be just moved to your own, but in the case of a player not drafted, I dunno...
I guess the next question wold be how long that would go for... beginning of the season or all the way to the cutoff date when they need to be promoted?

Correct. You can fill your Rookie roster but only with guys drafted in 2015 draft.

So Dylan Bosheers, I claimed him as an undrafted free agent from our draft, but was drafted by the Phillies in the 15th round in 2015. Good to put on my rookie roster?

Yes. Just please make my life easier and tell me that's where you want to put them when you claim the player. I'm not a mind reader, and it would be a huge pain in the ass to check each team's roster to see where players are being stored. Honestly, that would be nice for any FA claim.
I go by the assumption on trades that if a salary is listed, they go on MLB roster, no salary listed, MiLB
