St. Louis Cardinals (Andrew) Arizona DiamondbacksOnly one team with issues hitting the minimum this week (TB, which I don't think is a shocker). ESPN used to give automatic losses for stats like L and K in addition to the rate stats, It appears the Fantrax has 2 options, either lose every pitching or hitting stat or only lose the rate stats. This means that TB won L's and K's because he didn't play many people. Not sure how we want to handle it going forward, losing everything seems extreme. I'd volunteer to manually update the scores if need be to keep it the way it was on ESPN. Should be less than a matchup a week, so I don't mind.

Yeah. That is annoying.
Ultimately, I think we need to have a discussion about what the punishment should be for not meeting the minimums. In the end, losing the category is what a tanking team wants, so it isn't really a punishment.

I knew that Mets did not make the minimum pitching guidelines but was a bit surprised to see that fantrax rewarded him for that.....if anyone could take a look at that and perhaps fix it

Yeah, that's weird. Not sure what the hell happened there. I'll take care of it and make sure it hasn't happened previously as well.

I see losses is still considered a tie as neither had a loss. Is that correct?

There's no impact on ties. I'm not sure I understand your question.

I think he meant in terms of the loss category. Neither guy had a loss on the week, is that still a tie?

I'm still confused, not enough coffee this morning I guess.
There's 16 categories in a matchup. Keith was 7-6-3, which adds up to all 16 categories. Keith had ties in QS, L, HLD none of which are impacted by the IP minimum.

Guess I am wondering why losses would not be impacted.

Yeah, HOU cleared up my confusion in chat.
They aren't impacted because they're not a rate stat. ESPN used to adjust L's as well. There isn't a way to do ERA, WHIP and L automatically, though it seems like have to manually adjust just about every week at this point anyway.
Fantrax options are: Do nothing Rate stats All pitching stats All stats

Ok, I dug into this further this morning, because I couldn't believe fantrax would really have an issue this significant.
I believe the issue is only present on the live scoring page, not in the standings. I've added all of Keith's wins from the live scoring page for the first 8 weeks (twice to confirm) and reached 48 wins. The standings currently have him with 53 wins. 2 of those wins, I added yesterday for ERA and WHIP, but the other 3 appear to have been added by Fantrax when processing his matchup result.
If you check scoring period 8 on the standings page, it looks like the correct results are shown including penalties for not meeting the minimums (7-6-3 victory for TOR) while the standings themselves show 9-4-3 because of my adjustment.
I'll be backing out my adjustments.

Can you check my 1st week matchup with Orioles...neither of us made our pitching minimums but he got credit for the categories

You both met the minimums in week 1 since we prorated them due to the short week.
It does look like I missed the override on BAL though, so I've made that adjustment. Only CIN and TB missed the minimums in week 1.
Update: That actually dropped you from 6-8-2 in week 1 to 5-9-2, which explains one of the wins I was trying to reconcile earlier today.

Bringing this back up since we have issues again. What did we want to penalize for not hitting the minimum IP's? ERA, WHIP, L?

I'll be going back to review through the start of the year, but have adjusted this bast week for MIL/SD from 12-2-2 for MIL to 14-0-2 for MIL since SD didn't meet AB or IP minimums, causing him to lose offensive Ks and pitching L's.

Pitching imo would be ERA, WHIP, and L's. Those would be the only categories that are are affected by someone missing the min IP.

Not that I don’t want a better result, but on fantrax it says that only the ratio stats would be forfeited. I know losses was forfeited as well when we were on ESPN but on the fantrax scoring rules page, it isn’t mentioned. Nor is Ks.

That what it was on ESPN and when I asked people to confirm earlier this year all I could hear was crickets. I'm not entirely sure why you kept bugging me about this one Dan is f you just cared about the rate stats, since those work on fantrax automatically.

I just heard conflicting things, and I wasn’t aware that fantrax did the ratio stats automatically.
