Tanking:
If you are "caught" tanking your team on purpose to up your team in the draft first you will get a warning. If you get caught again you will forfeit your first round draft pick and be given the last 10th rounder of the draft as a replacement. Now I'm not talking you take A-Rod out of the lineup for awhile cuz he is Day to Day or something like that, I'm talking an obvious abuse, benching all your top guys and sticking your bench players all over the field and sitting your best pitchers. Also teams tend to "disappear" from time to time, if they abondoned the team and we get a new owner obviously we aren't going to punish the new owner by taking away the draft pick.
Trade Related:
- 1) If you want to do a trade make sure both people want to do it before it is placed in the trade folder to be reviewed. We will have a trade review committee. The committee will be made up of trustworthy members chosen by the league creator. It will be either 3 or 5 people and you will need majority vote for the trade to pass. If your trade passses then the designated person will put them on your roster.
2) Each person must reply to thread saying "I Accept".
- Salary cannot be traded for a single season then the money is returned.
-No trade will be allowed if it puts either team over their allotted salary cap. It will automaticly be vetoed unless they call somebody down(puts them on waivers for 48 hours) or they drop somebody.

Salary Related:
- Minor leagers dont need a salary unless you call them up to your MLB team. Once you do call them up there new major league salary is 1M. But if you send down a major league player there salary goes away but you dont get to play him on your ESPN roster.
- The salary cap for the league is 115 million. The salaries will be based on the players salaries in real life, rounded down. ex/ 7,600,340m is 7m. Anything under 1m is 1m.
-Salarys start to be updated the day after our season ends. If a player was one from bidding his salary stays the same as it was when he one the bid unless he signs a new contract.
NEW RULE as of 11/30/10:
New rule
Any player that accrued 50 or more innings pitched or 125 ABs in the 2010 season cannot be kept on a minor league roster. Career ABs or innings pitched do not matter, it is what they did last year that counts. Teams have until Saturday, March 26th to comply with this either by promoting the player to their MLB roster, getting rid of them in a trade or releasing them. If not, they will be released on March 26th and eligible for bidding to anyone in the league. This rule does not effect the bidding process (players with 50 IP or 125 ABs in their MLB CAREER must be bid on) or the process of claiming milb players off waivers in any way.
This will only be addressed in the offseason, if you have a player on your minor league roster at the beginning of 2011 and he accrues 50 IP or 125 ABs we will not police everyone, you can keep that player on your milb roster during 2011, however if you promote him to your MLB on your own you cannot send him back down if he goes over 50 IP or 125 ABs. At the end of next year, during the offseason, all players that have exceeded the limits in 2011 will need to be placed on the MLB roster at that time.
Minor leaguers can still be placed on the MLB roster, players do not need to have MLB experience to be kept on your MLB roster but you still have to pay them the minimum salary of 1 mil per year if on your MLB roster. Any and all players on your milb roster do not count against your salary cap UNLESS they make 2 mil or more, in which case the FULL AMOUNT counts against your cap.

- The Major League Roster will be just like a regular one for the postseason:

Second Base:

Third Position:
Outfield:
Outfield:
Outfield:
Utility:
5 Starting Pitchers
5 Relief Pitchers
1 Closer
11 Bench
2 Disabled List Spots
You will also get a minor league system that will be the same except you get 15 bench and a util. You can choose minor leaguers from your teams entire minor league system. We wont score minor leagues.
- A player can be sent down up to 3 times in their career, after the 3rd time the player will go to waivers and if somebody claims them you have 48 hours to reclaim them and move them back to your MLB roster.
- You start a thread in bidding then you title it that player and you say like i bid $1. Then the other people have 24 hours to bid higher. You have to bid whole numbers and cant just match there bid. Any questions just place in the questions folder.
-You can claim two prospects a day if they are available.
Rookie Draft:
- 1) The draft will only be 10 rounds.
2) You are allowed to trade draft picks.
3) We will have 1 draft each year and that will be before the season starts and you may only draft the players entering that draft.
4.) After the pick before your pick you have 24 hours to make your selection. If the time expires and you have not picked yet we will put the player on your team that was drafted by your team in real life. If they are not available we will go on to the player picked in the next pick and so on.
5.)There is a 24 hour stoppage period after each round so teams can get prepared and draft managers can get done proccessing the last round.
We have a 10 round draft every year and those players are added onto the rookie rosters, wich consist of 13 spots. Every Year during the all star break minor league rosters are expanded by 10 spots. This is to make space for the rookies from the last draft. You can still keep rookies on your rookie roster but other people can put in claims for them and you will have 48 hours to call them up to your minors to protect them. Once the next draft starts rookie rosters are cleared and all players that were on one is moved to waivers.
Playoffs:
3 Divison winners, 3 WC, Best 2 teams get a 1st round bye
Free Agents:
For you to sign a player they need to have signed a MLB contract in real life.
As far as International Free Agents, they too cannot be bid on until they sign an actual MLB contract in real life and once they do they can only be obtained by bidding (not just a waiver claim). Waiver claims are reserved for actual milb players with current contracts in a milb system somewhere that are not on any other team's roster in this league. If an IFA is released that originally had been bid on at $2M or more, this player must be subject to bidding again, he cannot be simply claimed.
Any questions post here or send me a PM.
This rule is effective immediately but is not retroactive so if you got someone the "incorrect" way that's OK, we are going to let those slide and do it this way from here on out. (It's cool Cubs you can keep all your Cubans).
If you drop somebody off your roster during the season then you have to pay half of their salary for the rest of the season.
Rule Update (1/10/13)
This rule will go into effect at the beginning of the 2013 season: An owner may drop any player in the offseason with no penalty provided that the player has been owned (not a free agent) for a full season. Players acquired through free agency during the previous season, even if they were not acquired by the owner making the drop (i.e. won by a different owner and then traded), will still hold the penalty for dropping (1/2 the previous year's salary).
If you are "caught" tanking your team on purpose to up your team in the draft first you will get a warning. If you get caught again you will forfeit your first round draft pick and be given the last 10th rounder of the draft as a replacement.
