If you trade away your MLB players for prospects and can't fill MLB spots fine, but if a prospect is getting MLB AB's and you don't have that position filled, you have to promote him

Bingo, that's with me too. He had Cingrani in his minors while he was starting with Cueto out. I had no problem with what he was doing but that's not okay to not accumulate those stats.

Agree sitting capable players is tanking, not having a terrible team and striving to improve. There shouldn't a penalty for having a bad team.

There shouldn't a penalty for having a bad team. agree 100% and that's why I'm against pitching IP limits, etc. Someone can sit his best players and play the shitty ones enough to reach limits and get priority picks. Some teams just simply aren't as good as others. We all just need to keep our eyes out for people sitting players that should be playing and call them out.

Correct, there's a huge difference between trying to win but not having the players to win and tanking on purpose (even if it's subtly sitting a SP or not playing your best position player once or twice a week just to make sure your club loses. Owners know when the guy they are going against H2H is fielding his best club or not. Simply a matter of notifying someone what's going on.

The ONLY issue i had with Marlins was he had guys who were getting MLB stats sitting in his minors while not having a complete roster. Yes! This was my only problem with it as well but for some reason we looked at his overall team and his process which didn't make sense to me at the time. I think as long as you are putting what MLB talent you have in the lineup everyday then you should not be accused of tanking. I mean in the actual MLB if a team put out a shitty team of little MLB talent, I would call it tanking, but not necessarily here. This is because MLB teams have a lot more resources than us (building through FA, developing players, etc.) and we only have building through the draft, trading, and the occasional big-time FA signing. So in my opinion we need to have a clear understanding of what tanking in this league is.
