He would go into the draft if he signs right? Same as an undrafted FA who signed with a club.

This probably needs to be clarified since there was another player recently claimed who fit this situation.

Is anyone really going to pick tebow up? The only real appeal to a real baseball team is the marketability.

Ok, that works for me. Wanted to make sure we knew how we were going to handle this before he signs.

Tebow wasn't drafted, so he would not be eligible for the draft?
As for Friedl if he's an undrafted free agent, then IMO he's fair game for any TPB manager to snag him once he signed.
Our 10 round draft is strictly for drafted players from the most recent MLB draft.

What's the difference between Friedl, Tebow or any other non-drafted IFA? There seems to be a past precedence. tripleplaybaseball.proboards.com/thread/11548/james-paxtons-contracttripleplaybaseball.proboards.com/thread/5088/james-paxtonOK, so will talk it over with Dodgers but I think we can slightly modify our rule of who has to be bid on versus who has to be claimed. If a guy has zero MLB pro data (can have independent league data) and signs a new MLB contract he needs to be bid upon not simply claimed. That should cover any international free agents and any guys like Paxton (independent league guys that sign official MLB deals or guys that were drafted but never signed, then sign later).
