100 AB could work, my team had 231 AB in the first matchup so 100 shouldn't be unrealistic.

I like 100 AB as a starting point, but I think it may still be too low. I dunno.

In the NL,
Marlins had 82
Padres had exactly 100

In the AL,
Orioles had 88
A's had 54

Pretty much everyone else had over 150

Keep in mind this matchup we had the extra two games in Australia plus the extra game in San Diego last Sunday night but I guess that's only three extra games.

I'd be happy with an minimum of 150AB.

Everybody has stated their stance that is going to state their stance, so how about we let the 3 big dogs decide the direction of the league.

Whether it is beaten to death or not I am always in favor of posting a poll. The decision has been made that we are changing hits for sure but let's put it up to a vote if the league prefers SLG% (with a minimum 100 or 120 ABs, whatever we are doing) or TB. Those who care enough to vote will, those who don't won't and the ones who bothered voting will make the call. No need for a bunch of debate on there

I'm fine with whatever we do. I obviously prefer total bases as I built my team around a counting stat like hits, but it's whatever the league wants. It just seemed like we were going total bases yesterday and now it changed to slugging today, I'm just wondering what changed in the matter of 12 hours and what direction are we actually going towards. My only problem with the minimum at bats is it screws over teams that have a ton of injuries and don't have replacement bats. I'm pretty sure I already have 6 guys on the dl

That's what's driving me nuts about this debate. It's not about what is best for your team, it's about what is best for the league, specifically what is best to assess the talent of the teams in this league.

And what is best for the league is scoring that is balanced on quality and quantity (aka ratios and counting stats), not seeing who can accumulate the most players to stream, but who can accumulate the best players and therefore team.

My whole point is being in this league for its entirety like some other teams have strategized for the categories we had and not ones that are going to change. Your whole point about having the best player, I've traded stars so I could acquire depth so slugging basically just screws me over and anyone else who had a similar strategy, but whatever happens happens

The only people who thought the rules were broke are the new owners like yourself. I said lets do total bases it appeases the owners who were planning on hits and the owners who wanted doubles and triples to count. It seems like all the new owners are offering suggestions, which I'm completely fine with. I just think we need to find some middle ground.
