Brewers, we will find out what happens with the poll. Looks like it will just be everyone can trade besides playoff teams.

We have an interesting situation in the case of Barret Loux (6th overall pick of the Dbacks). Now in real world Loux was NOT signed by the Dbacks as he failed a physical (torn labrum I believe). But an odd ruling came down from Bud the Dud Selig stating "We have reached an agreement regarding Barret Loux’s status that is mutually beneficial to the parties. Today Commissioner Selig has announced that Loux will become a free agent on September 1. As such, he will be free to sign with any Major League Club at that time. In addition, the Arizona Diamondbacks will receive a Supplemental Selection in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. The agreement also provides an opportunity for the Commissioner’s Office and the Players Association globally to the address the issues that can arise from questions concerning a drafted player’s health. Given the private nature of the underlying disagreement here, neither party will be making any further public comments about this situation."
So for the purposes of our league we have 2 options, 1) put him in our drafting pool just as he was before (I think we should probably just do this) or 2) remove him from the pool and make him a free agent open for bidding like they are doing in real MLB. I like just leaving him as eligible to be drafted as an exception (even though he wasn't technically drafted in real life) but suppose the bidding war might be fun as well. What's everyone think? Maybe this is in the wrong place...

Technically he WAS drafted, but he wasnt signed... It is clear that he will be a professional baseball player for someone, I personally think he should just be left in OUR draft class and he be drafted just like everyone else.

Poll schmoll, think the majority has already spoken-- we'll put him in the draft class. Just so everyone knows if you draft him you'll get him, won't lose him through a technicality cuz he didn't actually sign with the team that drafted him.

We arent updating the ESPN rosters besides playoffs until next season gets a little closer because it doesnt really matter and it makes offseason proccessing go a little more smoothly.

Now that were in the offseason i would just like to raise my question again of allowing salary cap traded for one year. We see this in baseball all the time and i think it could help teams that are struggling.

Anybody else want to do it? I have nothing against it besides the fact that it could create a hastle when proccessing.
